RJS built a two-storey rear extension in Chingford to give the family home more useful space on both floors. The work involved forming the new footprint, creating structural openings into the existing rooms and tying the extension into the original house with carefully considered brickwork, roofing, windows and insulation.
Downstairs, the additional space supports a better kitchen and family living arrangement, while upstairs provides room for the household to grow. Services, plastering, flooring and decoration were coordinated through to completion, with attention to weathering, junctions and a clean transition between old and new construction.
