Many single-storey rear extensions fall under permitted development, but larger, double-storey or conservation-area projects usually need planning permission. We check your property at the first visit and manage the application.
Do you handle the design and structural engineering?
Yes. We work with trusted architecture and structural engineering partners, so drawings, calculations and the build are coordinated by one team.
How much does an extension cost?
It depends on size, structure and finish, so we don’t publish fixed prices. After a design consultation we give you a clear, itemised quote.
How long does an extension take to build?
It depends on size and complexity. We agree a programme with you before work starts and keep you updated throughout.
Can we stay in the house during the work?
Often yes, especially for rear and side extensions. We plan the sequence to keep the house usable and the site secure, and we’ll be honest if moving out would be easier.
Are your extensions guaranteed?
Yes. Depending on the job, we can offer insurance-backed guarantees of up to 10 years, subject to the works and the insurer’s approval. We are also Which? Trusted Trader and Federation of Master Builders members.
