PLANNING AND BUILDING REGULATIONS IN EPPING
Epping is in Essex and falls under Epping Forest District Council. Epping Town Council is also consulted on planning applications in the town. The historic town centre around the High Street is a conservation area, there are listed buildings throughout the area, and much of the land around Epping is Metropolitan Green Belt, all of which bring extra controls. Permitted development can still cover some single-storey extensions, but larger designs, listed buildings and homes in the conservation area or Green Belt often need full planning permission or listed building consent.
